Resistor is a passive component of electrical circuits which implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. Basically, it has two terminal & this is used to reduce current flow, to divide voltages, to bias active elements, to adjust signal levels and to terminate transmission lines.
Basically, There are two types of Resistor:
(1) Fixed Resistor: Resistance of this resistor is fixed. Sometimes, It’s resistance only changes slightly with temperature, time or operating voltage of a circuit.
(2) Variable Resistor: Resistance of this resistor is variable which is used to adjust circuit elements (such as Fan Regulator, Light Dimmer or a volume controller), or as sensing devices for light, force, heat, humidity, or chemical activity.
